What crypto exchange fees in Finland consist of
Three of the four exchanges in the comparison tier their trading fee by trading volume: the more you trade, the lower the fee. The table shows the whole range from the cheapest (highest volume) to the most expensive (lowest volume) tier; only eToro's fee is flat.
| Exchange | Trading fee | Withdrawal |
|---|---|---|
| Northcrypto | From 0.6% (0.6–1.0%) | €1.00 (SEPA) |
| KvarnX | From 0.1% (0.1–0.8%, min. €1) | Free SEPA |
| Coinmotion | From 0.8% (0.8–2.0%) | €0.90 (SEPA) |
| eToro | 1.00% (flat) | €0 (EUR account), $5 (USD account) |
The calculator uses each exchange's best trading fee, i.e. the one at the highest volume tier. That is an optimistic estimate that only applies once your own trading volume reaches the top tier. The figures are based on price lists checked in autumn 2026. Exchanges can change their pricing at any time, so check the current price list on the exchange's own website before trading.
The international platforms Coinbase, Crypto.com and Bitpanda are not in the calculator, because their cost depends heavily on which view you use (simple buy or order book) and on the payment method. Their pricing is explained in each review.
Why the total cost of a crypto trade is not the same as the trading fee
The trading fee percentage alone does not tell the whole story. The total cost is made up of the trading fee, any deposit fee and the withdrawal fee together, and many fee percentages also depend on your own trading volume. eToro's fee is flat and predictable regardless of the amount, while the commission of the Finnish crypto exchanges can vary considerably between a small one-off purchase and a high-volume customer.
If you are comparing crypto exchange fees in Finland for a single purchase, also look at the minimum fee: KvarnX charges at least €1 per trade, which matters on very small buys but not on larger ones.
Crypto exchange fee comparison: frequently asked questions
Do crypto exchange fees change often?
Yes. Crypto exchanges review their pricing from time to time, and fees can change without a separate announcement. We update the figures when the price lists change. If you notice an outdated figure, let us know.
Should I always choose the exchange with the lowest fees?
Not necessarily. On a large one-off purchase the euro difference can become significant, but on smaller amounts the difference is often just a few euros. Then other things can carry more weight, such as customer service, the clarity of the interface, the language of support or how wide the selection of cryptocurrencies is.
Why is eToro's crypto fee shown as flat when the others have a range?
eToro charges a flat 1.00% fee on crypto trades regardless of the trade size or monthly volume, while the Finnish crypto exchanges tier their fees by volume. The flat model is more predictable but not always the cheapest: on a small one-off purchase a Finnish tiered fee can be higher than eToro's, while at high volume it is often lower.
Does the crypto fee comparison include hidden currency conversion costs?
The table shows only the stated trading and withdrawal fees. Some platforms price currency conversion (for example euro to dollar on an eToro USD account) at a rate slightly less favourable than the market rate without a separately visible fee. The calculator cannot take that margin into account automatically.
How often are the figures in the fee calculator updated?
We check the price lists roughly every six months, or immediately when we notice an exchange has changed its pricing. The most up-to-date figure is always on each exchange's own price list page.
The calculator is an indicative comparison tool. Kryptoluotsi.com does not provide investment advice.
